ABOUT TOMORROW
With a reminder that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, live each day to the fullest and without regret. Say what you mean to say, do what you intend to do, and make sure the folks in your life who make a difference and give you meaning know it. For each day that you are given, make sure you live.
Another day awaits us. Now, what are YOU going to do about it?
ON SUNRISES
Yesterday I saw the sun rise from the South Florida shore, and I was amazed to find others up early to join in watching this amazing feat unfold before our eyes. Seeing the beautiful colors dance across the sky, like a theatrical performance, filled me with energy and light, hope and wonder for what the new day would bring.
Have you ever seen a sunrise? Some of us don’t wake up early enough to catch it, but when you do, and you truly feel it with your heart, you’ll know what I mean
ON THE THOUGHTS OF OTHERS
If you haven’t realized already, let me tell you… You shouldn’t waste any time wondering what others think of you and whether or not they approve. If you are true to your heart, your self, your spirit, your cause, or whatever else matters, that’s all that counts. Be in the business of tearing down the walls that seem to hold you back and always progressing forward.
HANG IN THERE AND KEEP GOING
There are going to be times when you think whatever you’re working on or towards is not happening fast enough. You’re going to feel like you’re not even making a dent, like the cause is to great to make a difference, and as if what you do doesn’t matter.
Let me affirm for you right now that your passion, your life’s work, your goal, your side-project, whatever it is… it matters. It’s contributing to something greater, its giving your life meaning, and its inspiring others to do the same.
Through the highs and lows hang in there, it will be worth it and it will work out in the end. So if its not yet working out, then it is not yet the end.
GIVING IT YOUR ALL
You have to give it your all, everyday, and work with the satisfaction that you’re giving it your all even when the results aren’t exactly what you desire (yet). Know that hard work day in and day, out coupled with unwavering faith is often portrayed (especially in our media) as an “overnight success.” Keep at it
YOUR EFFORTS THUS FAR
“You are doing better than you think you are.” -Alan Cohen
A friendly reminder for all of us. Are we our own toughest critic or what?!?!? Give yourself a break. You know you work hard, you know you’re passionate, you know you’re dedicated. You’re actually still making strides even when you can’t see them. Hang in there and keep at it.
NOTEWORTHY QUOTES BY OTHERS WORTH HIGHLIGHTING
A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. -Christopher Reeve.
“When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.” – Patanjali
“Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens. ” – Kahlil Gibran
“In the end, I’ve come to believe in something I call “The Physics of the Quest.” A force in nature governed by laws as real as the laws of gravity. The rule of Quest Physics goes something like this: If you’re brave enough to leave behind everything familiar and comforting, which can be anything from your house to bitter, old resentments, and set out on a truth-seeking journey, either externally or internally, and if you are truly willing to regard everything that happens to you on that journey as a clue and if you accept everyone you meet along the way as a teacher and if you are prepared, most of all, to face and forgive some very difficult realities about yourself, then the truth will not be withheld from you.” ~ Eat, Pray, Love, based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir
